Youth adding more value to the campaign

Guthi, an active partner in EWP organized an Youth Leaders' Training on EWP campaign on March 20,2009. It was great to see more than 30 youth who were eager to pour their energy in this campaign. Mr. Rabin Lal Shrestha initiated the program with the fun quiz assessing their knowledge on water and sanitation coverage. It was great fun and was helpful also to test our IQs on the sector. He also briefed on the context of the emergence of the campaign to deal with the global concern and provide the global voice for the issue. Mr. Prakash Amatya, NGO Forum shared on the past achievements of the campaign with his picture full presentations. He shared that the formulation of Master Plan on Sanitaiton, Urban Policy on Water and Sanitaiton as well as increased budget on the sector with the separate budget on sanitaiton was major achievements of the campaign. Thereafter, was the presentation on Way Forward on the EWP campaign where I explained on major 5 actions of the campaign. I also shared about the mass action on March 25 and requested for their support. It was realized that these are the young advocates who can bring change in the society and their commitments definitely add value to this campaign.
