Learn from mistakes

Media is regarded as the fourth sector in the development world. There are several media interactions organized by our alliance members and we were taking each and every opportunity to spread this words of EWP. NEWAH coordinated this media interaction and the event was organized in the banner of WASH, NEWAH and EWP on March 24. There was a session on EWP and I was prepared with the intention that there will be young crowd of media as the orientation was intended for young media professionals. Oh my gush! there is a crowd of matured media:) hmmm.... I was wondering now what will happen next as I had prepared my presentation with the different connotation. Again, next change there was a presentation done by a person from government who covered all the contexts of the sector. Okay it was another surprise, however, with a big courage, I did my presentation on the campaign with the hope that I can survive it. Later, we received comments that there was huge repetition in the presentations and the serious concerns were raised if it is really a global concern or not? I was just wondering what every children dying in 15 seconds does not prove that is a global problem?? Anyway, I convinced myself saying that I should have been more proactive in rearranging my presentation was the learning from the day. Again, I also sympathesized myself saying that at least this event helped us to provide platform for sharing about our campaign and mass action happening next day.
